Turkana is regarded as the birthplace of humanity and an archeological site where some of the oldest human fossils have been found. Turkana is filled with kulture and the people of Turkana celebrate their heritage in the annual Tobong’u Lore festival which means ‘Welcome back home’ - an invitation to explore your roots. 

Our Turkana candle is inspired by the Turkana women who went against the odds to form a women-only village in Umoja Uaso in 1990 in an effort to heal and rebuild in a safe space. Their story of survival is an inspiring reminder of how powerful and resilient we are as women and how much protection and support we need.
